ESTIMATED STRENGTH OF THE FRONT BRAKE DISC
  • Road safety issues, including road transport, are always given special attention. As an object of research, the mechanism of the front brake of front-wheel drive LADA cars is considered. Possible operational defects of the ventilated front brake disc are described, and a map of its defects is compiled. Statistical data of working surfaces wear of the disk as a leading defect is considered. The dependence of the total disk wear on the car mileage is obtained. A mathematical calculation of the braking torque in the front braking mechanism is performed, and the strength of the brake disc is estimated on its basis by the finite element method. The critical section of the disk are determined in case of critical wear of the working surfaces. A mathematical calculation of the braking torque in the front brake mechanism is performed.

MODELING AN EFFECTIVE SOLUTION FOR THE UTILIZATION OF SECONDARY ENERGY RESOURCES OF CCGT UNIT ON THE EXAMPLE OF CCGT-420T CHPP-16
  • Nowadays, improving the efficiency of power plants by utilizing secondary energy resources is gaining more attention in the energy sector. In this paper, the combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT-420T) was considered, where exhaust heat from the main and auxiliary equipment is utilized, and sent to a water supply system through a closed-circuit heat exchanger, as a result, the heat transferred (Q = 6.4 MW) is rejected into the environment through a cooling tower. Moreover, an effective modelling method for utilizing heat in a closed cycle, using a steam compressing heat pump unit (HPU) is proposed. In addition, a calculation of the effectiveness of utilizing secondary energy resources depending on the number of HPU stages.

MATHEMATICAL AND STATISTICAL EVALUATION OF TEST RESULTS BASED ON IRT
  • The article analyzes the test in the section «Information technologies: concept, classification, tools» of the discipline «Information technologies in forestry». For this purpose, the modern theory of IRT testing is used. By constructing characteristic curves for the difficulty of tasks and students' readiness, tasks that need to be finalized are identified. Information functions of test tasks are constructed. The analyzed test meets the necessary IRT criteria, but contains mostly light tasks. So it needs to be complicated.

CALCULATION OF FORCES AND MEANS WHEN SIMULATING FIRES
  • The object of research is OJSC «Severnaya» oil depot of the Lipetsk region. For the protected object, an analysis of the situation at the fire was carried out taking into account weather conditions. The calculations take into account the presence and number of forces and means of extinguishing, the capabilities of the available fire fighting equipment and the time of its concentration, as well as the need to call additional forces and means. One of the main and important sections of the work is the section on the development of options for extinguishing a possible fire in a group of tanks, both using traditional methods and using new developments. The effectiveness of the use of the UKTP «Purga» is clearly shown. Forecasting the development of a possible fire and the organization of its extinguishing are considered.

APPLICATION OF NUMERICAL MODELING METHODS FOR SAFETY ASSESSMENT AT PUBLIC FACILITIES
  • The assessment of safe evacuation of people in case of fires at social facilities in the service sector was carried out on the basis of numerical modeling methods. The time of safe evacuation of people from the object is regulated on the basis of a basic mathematical model for monitoring fire hazards for a specific social object. The dependences of temperature on the duration of the fire, partial density of O2, optical density of smoke, partial density of CO2 and CO, partial density of HCl on the duration of the fire were established with the implementation of the Fogard software package using a simplified analytical model of human flow. On the basis of the developed mathematical model of the development of a fire, design solutions are proposed that provide a secure dispatch of the population from the facility.

  • A systematic survey of compliance of the architectural and construction part of the project with fire safety requirements for basic indicators that ensure fire resistance and fire safety of the building was carried out. Engineering and technical solutions to ensure fire safety of the building and protection of people by deterministic factors have been installed. Structural and planning solutions to prevent the spread of fire in the building of the object were diagnosed. Technical solutions are formulated: for evacuation routes and exits, for fire protection and communication systems of the building, for ensuring measures that ensure the successful work of firefighters to extinguish a fire.

  • The article describes a microcircuit intended for certification of CMOS technology for the production of RS LSI on SPS structures. Its general and technical characteristics are considered. The description and substantiation of the construction, which unites variables by switching layers, allows to implement library elements. The library of elements of the base matrix crystal is considered: its composition and development features. Formulas for calculating the signal delay by the bistable method and estimating the duration of the front of the response of an element at its output are given.

  • The analysis of the electric arc welding process is performed. The main types and causes of defects in welded joints have been identified. The main non-destructive methods of control of welded joints are analyzed. The revealed advantages and disadvantages of each method. The method of ultrasonic testing is considered in sufficient detail. Shown on the practical experience of ultrasonic inspection of welded joints by a flaw detector with antenna arrays. The features of application of the program for PC «USD-soft», which allows automating the control of welded seams, are considered.

DEVELOPMENT OF STANDALONE SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS BASED ON GEOMETRIC KERNELS FOR CREATING DIGITAL ASSEMBLY MODELS OF MACHINE TOOLS
  • The article discusses approaches and solutions aimed at increasing the productivity of engineering departments, where CAD software solutions are actively used. In the manufacture of machine parts, it becomes necessary to design technological equipment. Elements of machine tools can be prepared and placed in electronic catalogs (libraries), which in an automated mode will create a set of parametric models of the required technological equipment of machine tools. In this case, the accuracy and quality of modeling will be achieved by excluding the human factor from the design process. The development of such software solutions is implemented by means and components of the open geometric kernel Open Cascade, which has great potential both in the field of modeling and scientific computing.
